Instructions:
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish and set aside.
- Cook the ramen noodles according to package directions, omitting the seasoning packets. Drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet over medium heat, cook ground beef and chopped onion until beef is browned and fully cooked. Drain off excess fat.
- Stir in the ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Remove from heat.
- In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the cream of mushroom soup, milk, sour cream, and 1½ cups of the shredded cheddar cheese until smooth.
- Add the cooked noodles, beef mixture, and half of the crumbled bacon. Stir until evenly combined.
- Pour the mixture into the prepared baking dish, spreading evenly. Top with mozzarella cheese, the remaining ½ cup of cheddar, and the rest of the bacon.
- Bake uncovered for 20–25 minutes, or until hot, bubbly, and lightly golden on top.
- Remove from oven, garnish with chopped parsley if desired, and serve warm.
Variations:
- Spicy Kick: Add a pinch of cayenne pepper or chopped jalapeños to the beef mixture for heat.
- Pickle Lover’s Twist: Stir in a few tablespoons of chopped dill pickles for that true burger tang.
- Ranch Style: Swap the soup for cream of chicken and add ranch seasoning for a different flavor profile.
- Veggie Boost: Mix in sautéed mushrooms, bell peppers, or spinach for added nutrition and texture.
Tips:
- For a crispier top, broil the casserole for 2–3 minutes at the end of baking.
- Don’t overcook the ramen; slightly underdone is better since they continue to cook in the oven.
- You can prepare the dish ahead of time and refrigerate it before baking. Add an extra 5–10 minutes to the bake time if chilled.
- Leftovers reheat beautifully in the oven or microwave and make a great next-day lunch.
