Bacon Cheeseburger Rice

Instructions:

  1. Bring the water or broth to a boil in a medium pot. Add rice, cover, reduce heat to low, and simmer for 15 minutes or until tender and the liquid is absorbed.
  2. In a large skillet over medium heat, cook ground beef and chopped onion until beef is browned and onion is softened. Season with garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Drain excess grease.
  3. Add the cooked rice to the skillet. Stir in diced tomatoes until combined and warmed through.
  4. Reduce heat to low. Sprinkle cheddar cheese evenly over the mixture, cover the skillet, and let sit for 2–3 minutes until the cheese melts.
  5. Remove from heat, top with chopped bacon, and serve hot. Garnish with your favorite burger toppings like ketchup, mustard, pickles, or green onions.

Variations :

  • Use ground turkey or chicken for a lighter version.
  • Swap cheddar with pepper jack or mozzarella for a different cheesy twist.
  • Add a handful of chopped pickles or jalapeños for added zip.

Tips :

  • For bold cheeseburger flavor, stir in a spoonful of ketchup and a touch of yellow mustard just before serving.
  • Make it a meal-prep staple by storing in airtight containers and reheating throughout the week.
