Banana Berry Fluff Trifle

Instructions:

  1. In a large mixing bowl, whisk the instant vanilla pudding mix with cold milk for about 2 minutes until thickened.
  2. Fold in 1 cup of whipped topping gently to create a smooth, fluffy mixture.
  3. In a clear trifle bowl or large glass serving dish, begin layering:
    • Start with a spoonful of the pudding mixture.
    • Add a layer of sliced bananas and a generous mix of the berries.
    • Spread a layer of whipped topping over the fruit.
    • Repeat these layers until the bowl is filled, ending with whipped topping.
  4. Top with additional whipped topping and decorate with extra berries or sprinkles, if desired.
  5. Chill in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour before serving to set and enhance flavor.

Variations :

  • Lemon Twist: Use lemon pudding instead of vanilla for a citrusy zing.
  • Angel Food Cake Add-In: Add cubes of angel food cake between layers for a heartier trifle.
  • Dairy-Free Option: Substitute dairy-free pudding mix, almond or oat milk, and a non-dairy whipped topping.
  • Tropical Flavor: Add chunks of pineapple or mango for a tropical variation.

Tips :

  • To prevent bananas from browning, toss the slices lightly in lemon juice before adding to the trifle.
  • Assemble the trifle a few hours ahead for best results, allowing flavors to meld.
  • Use a clear glass trifle dish for the most dramatic presentation of colorful layers.
  • If making ahead for a party, keep covered and refrigerated until serving to maintain freshness.
