Dill Pickle Gummy Worms

Instructions:

  1. In a small saucepan over low heat, combine the dill pickle juice and sweetener, if using. Warm just enough to dissolve the gelatin, not boil.
  2. Gradually sprinkle in the unflavored gelatin, whisking constantly to avoid clumps. Stir until the mixture is completely smooth and dissolved.
  3. Remove the saucepan from heat. If desired, add a drop of green food coloring and stir to distribute evenly.
  4. Carefully pour the liquid into gummy worm molds using a spouted measuring cup or dropper for precision.
  5. Place the molds in the refrigerator and chill for at least 1 hour, or until the gummies are set and firm.
  6. Once set, gently pop the gummy worms out of the molds. Serve cold and enjoy the surprise!

Variations :

  • Spicy Kick: Add a pinch of chili powder or a slice of pickled jalapeño while warming the juice for a spicy twist.
  • Sweet & Tangy: Increase the honey or sugar to 2 tablespoons for a more candy-like finish.
  • Pickle Shot Jellies: Turn this recipe into pickle juice shots by pouring the mixture into mini cups instead of molds.

Tips :

  • Use silicone molds with deep grooves to mimic the look of real gummy worms.
  • For the smoothest texture, let the gelatin bloom in a small portion of the juice before heating.
  • Store gummies in an airtight container in the fridge for up to one week.
  • These are fantastic as gag gifts, party favors, or bizarre snacks for pickle lovers.
  • Don’t boil the juice—high heat can affect the gelatin’s setting properties and dull the flavor.
