Instructions:
- Make the sauce:
In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, oyster sauce, rice vinegar, hoisin or honey, cornstarch, and water. Set aside. - Cook the beef:
Heat sesame oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add the ground beef and cook, breaking it up, until browned and cooked through, about 5–6 minutes. Drain excess fat if needed. - Sauté aromatics:
Stir in the white parts of green onions, garlic, and ginger. Sauté for 1 minute until fragrant. - Add vegetables:
Add cabbage and carrots to the skillet. Stir-fry for 4–5 minutes until the vegetables are just tender but still crisp. - Add the sauce:
Pour in the prepared sauce. Toss everything well and cook for 2–3 minutes, until the sauce thickens and coats all the ingredients evenly. - Serve:
Remove from heat and garnish with green onion tops. Serve hot, on its own or over steamed rice or cauliflower rice.
Variations :
- Swap ground beef for ground turkey, chicken, or pork.
- Add a handful of bean sprouts or snow peas for added crunch.
- Toss in a dash of chili garlic sauce or sriracha for heat.
Tips :
- Use a hot pan and don’t overcrowd it to keep the veggies crisp.
- For meal prep, store in airtight containers and reheat gently in the microwave or skillet.
