Instructions:
- Prepare the fries according to package instructions or your preferred method, baking until golden and crispy.
- While the fries cook, heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Season the steak with smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Sear for 2–3 minutes on each side until browned and cooked to your desired doneness. Transfer to a plate and set aside.
- In the same skillet, reduce heat slightly. Add butter and minced garlic. Cook for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Add the shrimp to the skillet, season with salt and pepper, and sauté for 2–3 minutes per side until pink and just cooked through. Remove from heat.
- Once fries are ready, transfer them to an oven-safe platter or baking sheet. Sprinkle evenly with shredded cheese and place under the broiler for 2–3 minutes, or until the cheese is fully melted and bubbling.
- Remove from the oven and immediately top with the cooked steak and shrimp.
- Garnish with chopped parsley and serve with sour cream or ranch on the side.
Variations :
- Spicy Kick: Add sliced jalapeños or a drizzle of sriracha over the top before serving.
- Tex-Mex Style: Swap the cheese for a Mexican blend and top with pico de gallo and guacamole.
- BBQ Twist: Replace garlic butter with a smoky barbecue sauce and use smoked brisket instead of steak.
- Loaded Breakfast: Add a fried egg on top for a brunch-worthy version.
Tips :
- For even crispier fries, use an air fryer or double-fry your homemade fries.
- Let the steak rest for a few minutes after cooking to retain juices before slicing.
- Use pre-cooked shrimp to cut down on cooking time—just reheat with garlic butter.
- Shred your own cheese for better melting and flavor; pre-shredded varieties can have anti-caking agents that affect texture.
- Assemble quickly and serve immediately to keep the fries crisp under the toppings.
