Maple Bacon Cheddar Grilled Cheese

Instructions:

  1. Cook the bacon in a skillet over medium heat until crispy. Drain on paper towels.
  2. Brush or drizzle the maple syrup over the cooked bacon and set aside.
  3. Butter one side of each bread slice.
  4. Place 2 slices of bread, butter side down, in a skillet over medium-low heat.
  5. Layer with half the cheese, the maple bacon, then the remaining cheese.
  6. Top with the other bread slices, butter side up.
  7. Grill until golden brown on the first side, about 3–4 minutes. Flip carefully and cook another 2–3 minutes until cheese is melted and bread is crisp.
  8. Slice in half and serve warm.

Variations :

  • Use smoked cheddar for a deeper, bolder flavor.
  • Swap maple syrup for hot honey for a spicy-sweet twist.
  • Try sourdough or brioche bread for a richer bite.

Tips :

  • Cook over medium-low heat to allow the cheese to melt without burning the bread.
  • Press lightly with a spatula while grilling for even toasting.
  • For an extra indulgent sandwich, add a thin layer of cream cheese beneath the cheddar.
