Instructions:
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with foil for easy cleanup.
- Divide the ground beef into 4 equal portions and shape into patties. Season both sides with garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
- Place patties on the prepared baking sheet and bake for 10 minutes.
- While burgers are cooking, fry the bacon in a skillet over medium heat until crispy. Drain on paper towels and set aside.
- After 10 minutes, flip the patties. Top each with a slice of cheese and a pineapple ring. Return to the oven for another 8–10 minutes, or until the cheese melts and the patties are fully cooked.
- During the last few minutes, toast the burger buns directly on the oven rack until golden.
- Remove patties from the oven, brush each one with BBQ sauce, and begin assembling: bottom bun, burger with pineapple and cheese, 2 slices of bacon, more BBQ sauce, and any additional toppings.
- Serve immediately with your favorite sides.
Variations :
- Spicy Twist: Use pepper jack cheese and add sliced jalapeños for heat.
- Hawaiian Style: Add a slice of ham beneath the pineapple for a fuller island flavor.
- Vegetarian Option: Substitute beef patties with plant-based burger patties and use vegetarian bacon.
- Grilled Version: Cook patties and pineapple slices on the grill instead of baking for a smokier taste.
Tips :
- For a caramelized edge, lightly brush pineapple rings with BBQ sauce and sear them in a hot skillet before adding to the burgers.
- Don’t overcrowd the baking sheet—allow space between patties for even cooking.
- Use a thick and tangy BBQ sauce for a bold flavor that stands out.
- Toasting the buns enhances texture and prevents sogginess from the sauce and toppings.
