Root Beer Baked Beans

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  2. In a large bowl, combine baked beans, root beer, ketchup, molasses, brown sugar, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, smoked paprika, garlic powder, and onion powder. Stir until well mixed.
  3. Pour mixture into the prepared baking dish and spread evenly.
  4. Sprinkle cooked, crumbled bacon over the top.
  5. Bake uncovered for 1 hour, or until bubbly and thickened.
  6. Let cool slightly before serving.

Variations :

  • Add sautéed onions and bell peppers for extra flavor and texture.
  • Swap Dijon mustard with yellow mustard for a classic tang.
  • Use maple-flavored bacon for a sweet-smoky upgrade.

Tips :

  • Avoid diet root beer—it won’t caramelize properly.
  • If you prefer a thicker texture, bake for an additional 10–15 minutes.
  • Make ahead and reheat before serving; the flavor deepens overnight.
