Instructions:
- Heat a skillet over medium heat. Cook the sausage patties until browned and fully cooked, about 4–5 minutes per side. Set aside.
- In the same skillet, cook the bacon until crispy, then drain on a paper towel-lined plate.
- Crack the eggs into the pan and cook to your preferred style: fried, scrambled, or over-easy. Season lightly with salt and pepper.
- While the eggs cook, toast the English muffins until golden and slightly crisp.
- Begin assembly by layering one sausage patty on the bottom half of each toasted muffin.
- Add 2 slices of bacon, 1 cooked egg, and 1 slice of cheese over the sausage.
- Add a drizzle of your preferred condiment, if using.
- Top with the remaining muffin halves and serve immediately while hot.
Variations :
- Use turkey sausage or plant-based alternatives for a lighter or vegetarian version.
- Try a different cheese like pepper jack, Swiss, or provolone for unique flavor.
- Add avocado slices or sautéed onions for extra richness and texture.
- Swap English muffins for croissants or bagels for a heartier sandwich.
Tips :
- Lightly press the assembled sandwich in the skillet for a minute to melt the cheese and bind the layers.
- Make a batch ahead, wrap in foil, and freeze—reheat in a toaster oven or microwave when needed.
- Use a mason jar lid ring to cook your egg into a perfect muffin-sized round.
- Don’t skip toasting the muffins—it enhances both flavor and structure.
