Sausage, Bacon, Egg & Cheese Muffin Sandwich

Instructions:

  1. Heat a skillet over medium heat. Cook the sausage patties until browned and fully cooked, about 4–5 minutes per side. Set aside.
  2. In the same skillet, cook the bacon until crispy, then drain on a paper towel-lined plate.
  3. Crack the eggs into the pan and cook to your preferred style: fried, scrambled, or over-easy. Season lightly with salt and pepper.
  4. While the eggs cook, toast the English muffins until golden and slightly crisp.
  5. Begin assembly by layering one sausage patty on the bottom half of each toasted muffin.
  6. Add 2 slices of bacon, 1 cooked egg, and 1 slice of cheese over the sausage.
  7. Add a drizzle of your preferred condiment, if using.
  8. Top with the remaining muffin halves and serve immediately while hot.

Variations :

  • Use turkey sausage or plant-based alternatives for a lighter or vegetarian version.
  • Try a different cheese like pepper jack, Swiss, or provolone for unique flavor.
  • Add avocado slices or sautéed onions for extra richness and texture.
  • Swap English muffins for croissants or bagels for a heartier sandwich.

Tips :

  • Lightly press the assembled sandwich in the skillet for a minute to melt the cheese and bind the layers.
  • Make a batch ahead, wrap in foil, and freeze—reheat in a toaster oven or microwave when needed.
  • Use a mason jar lid ring to cook your egg into a perfect muffin-sized round.
  • Don’t skip toasting the muffins—it enhances both flavor and structure.
