Strawberry Cheesecake Wonton Bites

Instructions:

  1. In a mixing bowl, beat cream cheese, sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  2. Lay wonton wrappers on a clean surface. Place 1 teaspoon of the cream cheese mixture in the center, followed by 1/2 teaspoon strawberry jam.
  3. Brush edges of wrapper with egg wash, fold into a triangle or desired shape, and press edges firmly to seal.
  4. Heat oil in a deep skillet or pot to 350°F (175°C). Fry wontons in batches for 1–2 minutes per side until golden brown and crispy.
  5. Remove and drain on paper towels.
  6. Dust with powdered sugar and serve warm.

Variations :

  • Use raspberry, blueberry, or peach jam for a fruity twist.
  • Add a pinch of cinnamon to the cream cheese filling for warmth.
  • Drizzle with melted chocolate or white chocolate before serving for extra indulgence.

Tips :

  • Make sure the oil is hot enough before frying to avoid soggy wontons.
  • Seal edges well to prevent the filling from leaking during frying.
  • For a lighter option, bake instead of frying—brush with butter and bake at 375°F (190°C) for 10–12 minutes.
